Celebrating IDENTITY

 2015

In DPE 1 for the first unit of the year the students were given the opportunity to explore identity.

It all started with Action Stations.

Celebrating ELECTIVES.

Working with Mrs Brown and Mrs Dowman, a group of students had the opportunity to create crazy patchwork in fabric. Using this fabric each student worked with focus to pin on a pattern, to cut out the shapes and to sew it up.
Instant sucess!  Look at what was achieved. There was more than one Elephant in the room!

MARKET DAY

For the last challenge of the year in DPE the students were asked to work towards running a Market Day stall where the items that they designed and made were to be available for sale.
The students worked with enthusiasm over the term and produced a wide variety of items as illustrated in the photos.
The aim of this Challenge was for the students to raise money for a community service in our local Johnsonville area. Wellington Free Ambulance was selected and over $2000.00 was donated.

The students had a lot of fun making Miniature Creations

Using the 3DPrinter allowed for some very creative design work and original ideas for cellphone holders

The success story was this student sold over 50 notice boards

Here is product development working with Electronics.
