The challenge was to create a marble run to take the longest time to run. The classroom was taken over by the inventors who strung the marble runs from the ceiling,the walls the doors and the table and chairs. Great fun and it was a great competition to find the longest run.

Ballon power

When the ballon was added how far would the vehicle go? We had lots of fun racing each other.

To make a vehicle with wheels that move.

With limited materials what can I design and make that has wheels that move?

Can you cook water in a paper saucepan?

The challenge was to find out.

First of all we had to learn how to light matches safely and after we had constructed the paper saucepan we started cooking.

We found out that yes, it was possible to heat water so long as you were careful.

Term 1 Learning Journey

With a focus on Survivor Island the Action Stations have been designed to challenge students to think and find solutions for specific situations. Students have the opportunity to choose the one that is of most interest to them and then to go on their own Learning Journey
