MARKET DAY
For the last challenge of the year in DPE the students were asked to work towards running a Market Day stall where the items that they designed and made were to be available for sale.
The students worked with enthusiasm over the term and produced a wide variety of items as illustrated in the photos.
The aim of this Challenge was for the students to raise money for a community service in our local Johnsonville area. Wellington Free Ambulance was selected and over $2000.00 was donated.

Our trip to the National Library to see the Leading Edge Exhibition.
We had the opportunity to see the inventions and innovations made by New Zealanders.
The Yike Bike was the most popular design innovation on display.
Moving between spaces to complete our work.
When we needed a sturdy container to protect our circuit we are able to move through to the DPE Suite 2 to use the laser cutter. Great results can be achieved.

The challenge was to create a marble run to take the longest time to run. The classroom was taken over by the inventors who strung the marble runs from the ceiling, the walls the doors and the table and chairs. Great fun and it was a great competition to find the longest run.
